January 22, 2010 - Tea Party Meeting
PACC - Perham, MN
The Heart of the Land of Conservatives will be hosting a Hot Tea Party at the Perham Area Community Center on Friday, Jan. 22. Presentation of colors and invocation will kick off the event, starting at 6:30 p.m. With local speakers, open mic, and a call in by Michele Bachmann, this will be the first Tea Party in the area in 2010. Last year's event, held in Fergus Falls in September, saw nearly 800 highly motivated voters, learning about the Constitution, fiscal responsibility, free markets and limited government.
The impetus of the Tea Party movement is excessive government spending and taxation. The mission of these events, and the movement itself, is to attract, educate, organize and mobilize citizens to secure public policy consistent with core values of the Constitution.

Bonfire and ‘smores on the Pioneer grounds
All proceeds will go toward the maintenance of the Pioneer Village, and the Grandview Heights Ballroom.
Volunteers are welcome the nights of the Haunted House as well, with concessions, ticket sales, tending the bonfire and other chores.
